shows Max a letter from Steve telling them that if anything happenned to
him, he wanted them to be happy together and take careof each other.
Max proceeds to get quite drunk and Gabrielle helps him upstairs.
She helps a bemused Max undress .... he's says she's very sweet and cute
too... then cue up the music (Michael Bolton's "Baby That's What
Love Is All About") as they stare into each other's eyes and the entire
dynamic of the scene changes from friendly to passionate. Max and
Gabrielle make love....
The
morning after. Gabrielle and Max sleeping contentedly, until Max
fully awakes to the morning, his position and his actions or the night
before. In shock he rails against himself for once again being selfish
and destructive just for a good time. Gabrielle, indignant and hurt
wnats to know if that's all it was... a good time.... Max contrite
avers that he's so angry with himself he can't even own up to the truth,
that it was much more than that, and if she wasn't his brother's wife...
but she is... and nothing can ever come of it. |
