| After eavesdopping on a staged fight over
Gabrielle's spendthrift ways Max walks in and taunts her about the honeymoon
already being over. Asa and Gabby later laugh about a sucker being born
every minute as Gabby prepares her battle gear for the next Max skirmish.
Later, Max wants to know why the mansion is so hot only to encounter a
supine & scantily clad Gabby which raises his temperature a few more
degrees. Gabby explains that she turned off the AC to save some money &
assuage Asa's temper. She loosens his tie and offers him some lemonade
but for some reason Max isn't cooling off. He tells Gabby not to let Asa
bully her, to stand up for herself. Gabby thanks him for his advice then
proceeds to recall a night years ago when they were alone with AC off...
Max requests that the AC be turned back on but Gabby says it's summer it's
supposed to be hot, and she emphasizes her point by continuing to turn
up the heat as she slinks along the top of the sofa. Max proclaims that
he's immune to her even as Gabrielle wipes his cheek with her handkerchief.
