who's coming to dinner? Surprise it's Roger and he's brought MInce
Pie. Ed (Peter Simon) is shocked to be sending his Thanksgiving with
Roger and Jenna at Vanessa's. But the party is even more shocked
when Henry makes a rather strong armed toast (by Roger and Vanessa) to
his new daughter.
At least Little Bill (Brian Buffington) is thrilled to have an ex jewel thief as an aunt. He even orders her into the family X-Mas photo, and then adding insult to Vanessa's injury reorders the subjects and has Jenna sit next to Henry with Vanessa standing behind her. Jenna tries to explain to Roger how much having a family means to her and how she hasn't had one since her mother died when she was 19. She tries to tell Billy (Jordan Clarke) how charmed she is by his son but Billy is more interested in telling her that Roger will suck her dry, and didn't she know that Roger tried to ruin her "Daddy". Jenna understandably shaken is then confronted by a hurt Roger who spins out a sob story about how he's an outsider, like her, and has always been denied what was rightfully his by men like Billy and Henry but if she wants an easier life, she should leave him, he understands being snubbed, and he'll have no hard feelings. Jenna of course says she'll stand by Roger. |

Jenna and Henry enjoy a Father-Daughter day out as she models new outfits for him. After a day of laughs Jenna tells Henry that all day she's been pretending that it was her 16th Birthday. That when she was a child she always imagined that her father would come that one day and she wouldn't ask where he'd been or why and that she'd just enjoy that day with him. That of course it was rather silly, as children are at that age, but that today is everything she dreamed it would be. Henry much moved says he also feels like it's 16th Birthday. |
