I was looking at the appearances page of a soap magazine and it literally jumped off the page --under "New Jersey" it said -- Justin Deas & Fiona Hutchison (it was a fundraiser co-chaired by Mrs. Deas- Margaret Colin.)  I ran into my office where I approached a GL buddy and told her that she was about to embark on a fabulous adventure- after a few hours of begging she agreed to take wednesday off with me to drive to New Jersey (four hr drive, like if it was ten I wouldn't go?!?!!).
 
 

We arrive at this beautiful hotel 1 hr early and pull up to the valet parking and go inside.  As we are registering for the luncheon I realize I left my camera in the car. ----really funny fan reaction coming---- I tell my friend let's go catch the valet driver before He parks my car and out of the corner of my eye not ten ft away is Justin Deas (oh yeah with Margaret).  Ii say very calmly?!?!----"There he is".  I think she heard me because she got this funny smirk on her face and looked at him as if to say, "Don't worry honey it's just beginning!!".  My friend and I follow, but to get my camera -- really I swear not to follow them!!!  My car is slowly pulling away and right behind are Justin and Margaret. Well I realize that if I yell --"Stop!" to the driver Justin may beat feet never to be seen again so I walk slowly behind (meanwhile my very supportive friend is doubled over with laughter.)  I get to my car which is about 20 ft behind theirs (which they also have gone to) so I get my camera and wait for them to go by & then go back to the hotel (walking behind them) nice view from behind ladies (he is much much cuter in person).
 
 

I am literally so nervous I am shaking.  We go to this reception area where they are having a cocktail hour--I have a glass of wine to calm my nerves of course.  They had a table of things that were to be auctioned off scripts, broadway tix etc. Also were 2 Emmys of Justin's (not being auctioned of course) over a few feet away is Fiona talking to a few people. (She is absolutely beautiful, also more so in person & very petite)
We went over to her and said hello. She hadn't been back from maternity leave on air yet so we asked when she was coming back.  She said she was back for a couple of weeks now and yesterday they filmed the birth of the baby (she failed to mention the wedding as well!!).  We asked about the baby and she beamed --said she was going to bring him but left him at the studio and that he was playing their baby.  She said as long as he is enjoying it she will allow it but if he seems not to she will take him off air.  We told her she looked wonderful, especially after just having a baby.  She was very sweet-- said she and Justin had to go back to the studio for more taping after they were done there (that is when they taped the scene in the hospital room when Harley brought the hockey stuff).

Then I saw Justin with Margaret in the hallway (she was fixing his hair & they looked very cute).  He was very nervous you could tell.  Then everyone went to the lobby and were mingling. my friend and I were just watching Justin & Fiona and snapping pictures of them signing autographs.

I was feeling a little less jittery so I approached them and asked if they would have they picture taken with me.  Justin says, "Sure c'mon over here", with the most beautiful smile.  My friend takes the camera and I stand between them and JD says "color coordinated" (FH had black on, he had a creme colored jacket and I had on a rose color top) he put his arm around my shoulder and Ii wanted to (well never mind....!)... I whispered to him "Don't be alarmed, I am going to put my arm around your waist" (clever huh?!!?).  He chuckled and I was in heaven (poor Fiona was kind of just standing there and I think she is wonderful but I
was hogging this guy).

My friend clicks away and no flash ---- me calm cool collected say "Hey the flash didn't go off".  Justin says try again --- so again no flash - now I'm really calm--- what's wrong change the batteries ughhhh --- my friend hands the camera to Fiona and starts asking her questions-- ha ha I can't believe this ....  Fiona is trying to help us figure out why the flash isn't going off.  So Justin says "I'm sure they will come out, the light in here is pretty good".  (Are these two adorable or what??!
