| Lily's excitement at seeing
a plane land is short lived when it's Celia that steps out of the
water. (ooh look, it's a new gun, and goes great with that nifty wet suit!)
She informs her that she's come for the diamond and when Lily insists she
doesn't have it (lying), Celia gleefully informs her that Rose told her
she did and that she's also leading Rose's life. Lily doesn't believe
her and neither does Simon when he shows up.
At the bat cave Simon tries to exchange their freedom for the diamond, Celia says she'll show them Rose's summer vacation photo essay in exchange for the diamond and then they'll discuss freedom because their credibility with her is zero. A shattered Lily sees the photos of Rose and Holden, as Celia pours on the distressing details until Simon tosses the diamond over to Celia where she actually lets hold of her gun in a moment of rapture. (Of course Simon doesn't try and get the gun, no, he hugs Lily... some people don't deserve to get off the island!) Celia has no intention of taking Simon and Lily with her, and Celia is impervious to Simon's attempts to ruffle her temper and catch her off guard. She's a content woman as she caresses her cheek with the diamond. But she'd like to know how Simon got his hands on a short wave radio and threatens to make him "dance" unless his fesses up. As she's making her cheerful departure Simon tries to jump her but Celia easily strong arms and pistol whips him (could Simon be more of a wimp? LOL!). Then for good measure she shoots out the radio. Later, Simon and Lily are
on the beach watching the airplane depart... but SURPRISE... here comes
Celia and she's none too pleased... but who's flying the plane? (EEK!
It's Cooley the old island Coot... don't ask.. just be glad you don't have
to see his picture.) (July 28-31)
