| Jack tells Officer Shanks
to take Celia to her cell. Celia tries to get Shanks to let her make
another phone call, but he's impervious to her charms. She paces
her cell until Rose arrives with the cell keys. Rose wnats
Celia out of her life, Celia corrects her that "it's Lily's life" and she
doesn't exactly want to be where she is either! Before Rose can open
the cell Officer Shanks returns, she hands the keys to Celia.
Shanks demands to know why
Rose is there and she lies that she's there to confront the woman that
tried to kill her. Celia is indignant! Then as Celia figures
out which key fits the lock, Rose diverts Shanks by flirting and asking
him to perform in a talent show. Celia asks if this is a jail cell
or a singles bar? She then manufactures a rage, segues into a coughing
fit, and orders Shanks to get her some water, so that Rose can unlock her
cell door, take the keys and leave. Shanks returns with the water
and says that "Lily" is such a nice lady. Celia smilingly agrees
that she has her good points.
Later, Shanks comes
back to an empty cell, with a lipstick drawing of an entwined Lily and
Rose. (Hmmm, I guess Celia didn't forget who got her arrested in
the first place!) (July 21, 2000)
