"I'm recognizable with my voice," notes ATWT's Fiona.
Wondering why Celia's crisp Brit accent doesn't quite match brother Simon's Aussie infelection? "We talked in passing [about me speaking with an Australian accent], and they mentioned that they didn't care for it, " explains's Fiona Hutchison (Celia). "I'm recognizable with my voice, so we thought we'd just keep it that way. Accents are very tricky, and since I already bring one to the table, I didn't want to add another one on top." Besides, she points out, "Every bad girl decides that they're going to pick, if you will, an affected way of speaking because it suits their needs of getting what they want. So she went off to boarding school or finishing school or whatever, and she thought it would get her ahead." |
