 Beauty: Doing What Comes Naturally

GL's Fiona Hutchison ditches the makeup and
dons her cutoffs when she's off the set.

At home the actress favors ripped jeans, T-shirts and shorts

Believe it or not, Guiding Light’s Fiona Hutchison (Jenna) is even more beautiful in person than she is on TV. Her smile is scintillating, her figure is flawless and her lilting English accent adds a touch of class.  Although once devoted to pursuing a career as a ballerina, her current focus is her little boy, Hutch.  It's easy to see from the sparkle in her eyes that motherhood agrees with her.

SON caught up with the busy actress on the set of the USA Network's soap spoof Dutch Elm Palms Heights, which will air in October.  She was happy to discuss her exercise routine, diet and casual style.

Natural Beauty

If  I'm not working, I don't wear a stitch of makeup.  I just put some moisturizer on.  I don't even bother with sunblock because I don't go out and lie in the sun.

Making It Happen

Personally, I don't see my own beauty.  And I'm not being modest.  I know a lot of women I find very beautiful.  I think I have a package that, when I work it, I can make something happen.  But when I get up in the morning, there are a lot of things that need some enhancing.

A Hell Of A Workout

I've been known to run.  I lift a little bit of weights.  I don't go crazy about it, it's just for toning and keeping my heart rate up.  Classical ballet is my background.  So, that's something I do now for personal enjoyment.  I'm working with a trainer who's an interesting guy.  He's into holistic medicine and healing.  He has me jumping rope.  I've never done that in my entire life.  Let me tell you, going for just one minute, without tripping myself up or stopping, is the hardest thing I've ever done.  It sounds like so little time, but it feels like an hour.  It's a hell of a workout.

A Lot Of Milk, A Little Cheese...

I drink a lot of water and a lot of milk.  I think milk is terribly underrated, especially for women.  I try to stay away from plain old candy, because that's emptiness for the sake of emptiness.  But I do enjoy a good chocolate mud pie.  That's delicious.  A little of what you fancy does you good... a little bread, a little butter, a little cheese...

Getting Ripped

I'm not very fashion conscious.  I enjoy the dresses and lingerie I'm put in when I'm playing a character.  It's fun.  But when I'm at home, much to my mother's chagrin, I wear jeans that are ripped in every conceivable place, plus T-shirts, shorts and leggings.  So, I'm very comfortable.
