Like a swordfish

Our first cup game this season saw us hosting the game against Crawley Down. It was another hot day and both teams struggled in the heat, excuse the pun but it also proved to be a hotly contested game.

25 mins in Crawley Down lost a man cheaply for ungentlemanly conduct. Given the advantage Felbridge started putting more and more balls into the area. 35 mins in Felbridge were awarded a corner. Kevin Maxey from the corner spot bent the ball round into the top left hand corner. Felbridge 1 Crawley Down 0.

A determined Crawley Down came out for the second half and promptly put pressure on the back 4. 60mins in Crawley Down were awarded a debatable penalty from which they scored and drew the game level. In the dying minutes John Donnellan broke free and posted one from what was quite possibly 35 yards (20) out and into the back of the net to put Felbridge ahead once again...and yes John it did duck and dive very much like a swordfish...? Felbridge 2 Crawley Down 1 and that's how it finished.
