Chickentography

Every year I attend "Poultry", a chicken show. Champion chickens, large chickens, little chickens, and a couple of bizarre ducks sit contently in their cages, as adorable as they are photogenic. Amongst much admiration, I poke my sony cybershot camera (who is called "Yay!") between the bars and capture their best sides... um... feathers. How I love chickens!

This year had a nice variety of photogenic birds, and quite a few that enjoyed pecking at my camera.

This handsome fellow was hypnotising his water bowl.

I love the folds on this chicken's face.

Beutiful plumage, mate!

The background turned out nicely artsey.

Ooh, I wish I had feathers like that.

Big neck, small head.

It's nice and yellow. Probably me in chicken form.

Chicken perspective!

Some nicely curled feathers.

"What are you lookin' at?"

Mad professor chicken!

I love that blue tinged comb.

"I'll peck ya!"

Regal chicken.

Looks rather gormless.

I like the way her wings curve at the edges.

The obligitory close-up.

The chicken of the night lurks in the shadows, waiting to battle criminals! For she is SuperChicken!

A peice of fluff disguised as a chicken. Or the other way around.

Fluff!

Pale and beautiful.

In the light, this chicken shines.

This one wouldn't stop ruddy well running around.

Outspoken chicken!

"Hmmm, what is this human pointing at me?"

Artey shadows! I like this photo.

Chicken peers through the bars.

Priceless expression.

The anonymous chicken, caged and grey, awaits SuperChicken to rescue it.

"Oh, SuperChicken, wherefore art thou?"

Some chickens just naturally look mournful.

El weirdo duck.

Husband and wife team, champions of their category.

Why do I look at this chicken and think "College Student"?
