About Denver

First thing I should probably say is that Denver is a CAMARILLA City. Hence, most of the characters here will probably be vampires or mortals who are involved with them. We will be allowing Werewolves, Mage (Mid March 2k5) and we do have a SMALL Demon presence. However most of these slots are taken. We will have waiting lists however so if some characters die, (which does happen) we'll just move down the list. Bare in mind, if you wanna play a "non-vamp" character, you should make sure your on a level of play that would do these games justice, ie. don't make a country boy werewolf who comes in and acts like a Tremere.

Characters from other channels

We will allow you to remake your char for this channel however we can't allow you to be able to just use the sheet from another channel for here.  The XP you garner from another channel really shouldn't be approved anywhere else.  Mainly because they all do things differently.  Not to mention that we give out different FB and XP values for our characters.  If your character is rather outlandish, chances are you might be out of luck (ie OCT thats 3000 yrs old and 7th gen via diablery that happens to be actively involved in the Cammerilla)

Relative Power

I know from playing in other channels that its a major drag to start at the bottom.  We are of the idea that you should be allowed to make just about anything you want.  Which is why for the most part we allow you to create truly unique characters as long as you follow our guidelines.  We also don't believe in creating purely combat oriented characters.  While this might help you survive, if you don't have the mental capacity to realize you're being manipulated, you're going to have a hard time having fun under the control of another.

Special Items

During game play, if you did not write an items list and the STs did not see some item at time of creation and character approval, the item has a likelihood chance of being purged from the game. i.e. Do not suddenly declare you have the +5 weapon of silver with also blessed symbols etched into it that can cause Aggravated damage to all supernaturals and expect it permitted in the game.  It doesn't matter if you have a 5 in resources.  You'd also need at least a 3 in status with the church or something and more points for enough contacts to find a blacksmith willing to make the weapon.  In any case, if its not approved by the ST's then its just not going to show up.

Player Based Storylines

If you come in with a storyline you wish to see done, where you are actually planning on getting people involved in your own SL, please clear it with one of the top 3 STs. This way we know what's going on and can help figure out ways to make it more feasible and fit in with the game mechanics and flow here. We have no problem with creativity, but some SLs can mess the system a bit if not understood prior and it discourages players and STs from having a good time.

Backgrounds

The character charts will say that you do not need a background story for your character, but you may wish to consider writing one up any way. Especially if you have tallied points in skills that are questionable to your occupation you have selected or if you wish to bring a unique and rare item into the game.  Unnatural choices such as putting 5 dots in firearms when your character is a 10th generation vampire who formerly worked as a librarian, or some other oddity, cannot be cleared without some sort of logical explanation.

ex.   "Said character who used to be a fashion model was taken to the masters of her clan to be trained in the martial arts and firearms. She learned to defend herself there."  Firearms = 5 Melee = 5 Brawl = 5."   As you can see here is an effort to explain this characters elite fighting skills.  But it doesn't say WHY she was taken to the MASTERS of her clan what would Elders have to gain from training said person?  Especially if they weren't Assamites.  And how long did she train?  does it fit with the age of the character? I also don't think you'd get a 5 in all these stats anyway.  Maybe a couple 4's and one 5 depending on generation and such.  A rating of 5 in anything basically means your so good at it that your in the top 1% of the world.  So keep that in mind when your making your character.  Learning to defend yourself really insinuates a 2 or 3 tops.

Final Note

Don't think all these things are to keep you down.  The rules here are tailored to manage the massive amounts of diversity we'd like to deliver here.  I'm not the prince here, and neither of my sops are either.  If you have the right skills.  You can honestly create pretty much anything you want.

Below are the links to the games we've allowed here.  We won't be accepting any of the non vamp concepts off the start, as there is a waiting list.  We will be able to accommodate pretty much anything with time.  Unless its not linked below.   Also remember we have to limit the non vamp chars because we can't have them take over the channel.
