(Disclaimer) If you are a founder or op or something in another channel this is nothing against you. If you've been invited to my channel or even if you know about this place its most likely because you don't fit this description. Even if you do fit this description, please don't be offended, as the way you run your chan is of no concern to me. In any case please remember that these views are based on play from more then a few chans and not all of them are just VTM chans. For a while now I've noticed that every channel I've ever played in catered to the ops and founders. This is not to say that they shouldn't, but as a player it made me wonder what I was playing for. And every founder is different. Some channels exist solely for the founder to play god, I'm prince or higher and you should all cower before my might. Some channels are completely unbelievable, having sometimes 5 to 10 meth's in the same city, and then countless 6th and 7th gens after that. I'm not claiming that I know a lot about the World of Darkness, but from all my readings I've noticed that in the book it clearly was built in the thinking that players would play 8th - 13th generation characters. and that 8ths would be rare. Its this spirit of the game I want to bring back to the online play. This is why I'm making a channel that gives big incentives to the players who try to play a higher generation character. These benefits will also increase dramatically if you want to play 14th through 15th gen chars. Honestly it takes a player willing to shake off the thinking that you need a 7th gen here just to compete. There's another thing I've been noticing that goes on often. I know some of you like to play wares and a lot of you like to play sabby vamps or even Indies. The problem is that just about every channel has some sort of "revolutionary truce" or something that lets all of these separate characters coexist in some sort of peace. That, while fun, isn't going to be a part of the Alley. The Alley is a dangerous place and be prepared to fight to survive, or better yet, have others fight for you. There will be no peace in the alley. We're going to start off by playing mostly Vampire Camarilla characters afterwords we'll be allowing a Sabbat and Werewolf presence. Now if the players decree they wanna set up something of a truce. I'm not going to stop you. Bare in mind however that at best the truce will be fragile and mostly between single players. Now you can play Sabbat now if you wish (we do have a werewolf op but we're doing a ratio of 1 : 10 players vamp) but do so at your own peril. If you are found out it will be the other players responsibility to destroy you. And with the rewards on Sabbat kills they won't hesitate to do it. WARNING: don't create a sabby just to buff you or your friends, this will be strictly forbidden!!! I know many of you like to play unique characters, ex. an Old Clan Tzi or a Defector Sabby or something. In any case, you can do this if your willing to be a higher generation character. See the table for what you are allowed. (btw Old Clan Tzi are mostly 5th to 7th gen chars. so they will probably be non existent unless the ops can find a loophole or something, and that will most likely require a unique char slot just to play.) I'm not trying to take your power away, in fact I'm trying to give you the player all the power I can. None of the Ops or I will play an active roll in the power structure of the city. We will never try to become prince, we will never run for sheriff or even start killing at random. We're here to play and hang out with some good players.
